Our Story

The name "I Did It My Damn Self" begins in 2017 as my home improvement company. The idea is simple: take the intimidation out of home projects and show people they’re more capable than they think. I offer services like renovations, remodeling, repairs, painting, and installations—pretty much anything residential you can think of. But what makes us different is the way we work. Every job is tailored to the person and the project, and I always make it a point to work closely with clients, guiding them through the process and showing them how to be hands-on every step of the way.

Over time, I notice something interesting: most of my clients are women. And not just that—they are women who are genuinely excited to take on DIY projects but don’t always feel confident about where to start. Some worry about using tools, others want to learn how to follow instructions better, and many want to stay within a budget without cutting corners. Their energy and determination get me thinking: what if I can help them do more than just hire me? What if I can empower them to actually do it themselves?

That’s where the vision grows. Now, the plan is bigger than just home improvement services. I’m offering online, interactive DIY sessions to teach people (especially women) the skills they need to tackle their own projects. I’m also designing tools and resources specifically with them in mind—making DIY easier, more approachable, and a whole lot more fun.

At the end of the day, "I Did It My Damn Self" is more than a business—it’s about creating a community where people feel empowered to take on challenges and make things happen on their own terms. And honestly, that’s what it’s always about.
